I went to a land beautifully known.
No more lush greens but a sight of a sad lore unknown.
I remember the laughing trinkets and giggling anklets
Hopping around the majestic pillar
My eyes today greet them broken near the rivulets.
Uncles, Aunts, cousins, friends, parents and Grand parents
Never strung together if not for this grandeur
Such was the play of the divine abode that kept us secure.
My nerves lie haywire as I see my soul's temples in such massacre
Shun this shame and paint back the pride
Can't just keep looking at this uprooting tide!!
