What you saw and what I felt, wish they matched

Because I loved you more than what you sensed

Met with our beautiful hearts but

When did the head toil, I never knew

Those open moments of magic shared were so few

I beckoned your name when those jerks hit

Caught up were you in your own pit

Tried with tired eyes trusting my deep love

Ways that you wanted to be away like something crashing from above

Little did I mean to push or pull you than a lot that I wished joy for you

Just that my love, looked into your eyes to call me so

Tender and Tough, the times that showed

I never knew to give up to let you go

Until one day you left no trace

And I woke up in this suddenly unfamiliar place

Wish we were right for each other

Today apart, we probably are growing together

My eyes don't see your gentle smile or hear those little words shared

But the heart here still somewhere cares

Knowing not a clue of the hows and whys

And why you bid a fast farewell and I had to say Goodbye.
