Twins of joy

Two birds with golden beaks,
Never a gaze away, as in sweet language they speak.
Their gait, side ways, on my red stoned trail
Not a single sunrise with them, my vision fails
Perching on that high bark with their treasured grains of barley
A dance of joyance showcased, as they flap in ecstasy.
These little lives that mingle, dawn through dusk
Strolling, flying and sharing with spirit undaunted,
No less than the mighty one with his tusk.
Intrigued I am, in awe, magically haunted,
Wishing this world caught its spell.
Oh my little ones, it's the simple ones, in hearts, which ring that bell.

Alive

Numbers dance wild, gulping pegs of breath
And billion hearts knock hope with their own beats
Wailing cries that have become music
with disheartening resonance
This isn't the scene that had to unveil
In this dramatic world
But here we are, yet playing our part
In clasps of compassion, clapping our way to Victory
A sound that will vibrate history
Never before has the fire of overwhelm wrapped even the fickle minded,
In miraculous warm embrace.
This is a time to welcome a silent roar
And stay aside by the shore.
Divided to be united under an encompassing sky
Lighting together to lift our lives
Chanting love and charming faith
To heal a harmed world, just by being alive.
